week 10

Well here is the final week. I admit I feel very exhausted after these few weeks. Everything seemed to get a little harder every week in my writing class, trying to perfect the art of writing. I definitely have a ton of respect for people who like to right and actually know what they're doing, while doing it. I felt like I kept starting over at times, or couldn't quite grasp where to incorporate material. In the end though, I know I'm a better writer of essays..lol.. I had no idea there were so many rules too. Wow!.
As for my human diseases class, I was really surprised at how easily it came to me. I really enjoyed the class too, which always seemed to fly by!... That's with everything it seems lately, time flying....
Well I wish everyone luck with future endeavors and God Bless:)

Week 9

Well, this is the second to last post that I am required to have done. This has been interesting. Blogging. In my writing class, my final paper is due. My goodness, its hard to do and I'm nervous about the outcome. My final exam is next week in my other class, which covers weekd 5 though now. I made an A on the mid-term exam and I pray that I do just as good this time around. I also pray for Gods help in giving me the correct mind frame and wisdom with my paper too.  Well Its late and I really need to get up early in the morning to work on my paper.
Til next week:)

Week 8

It just blows my mind that it is week 8 already. I mean it does feel like it because of all the work I've been doing but still, it goes so fast. This week in my writing class, my assignments are to blog, to do my initial discussion on paramedic revision on a paragraph from my draft, respond to two classmates and work on my final paper. The problem that I have that Ive noticed is, I pretty much like to get to the point of things whether talking or writing and have trouble going on and on about a certain topic. For example, my paper that is due has to be 6-8 pages I believe and I only have 4. in my opinion Ive explained everything I feel that I needed to, but rules are rules and Ive got to try and on this paramedic revising, you basically check for grammatical and spelling errors and take things out of sentences, like prepositions, and some type of verb, like "to-be" verbs or something like that. Which goes back to my problem, if I already have trouble coming up with words to make a good paper, I'm having trouble figuring out which words to take out... I know one thing writing the proper way is Hard (to me atleast).
As for my other class, I have to make a 6-8 slide powerpoint to wrap-up my final project. The subject Ive chosen throughout the course is Coronary Artery Disease, anything related to the heart is my cup of tea. I'm hoping that when Im done with school, I'll be able to work in a cardiologists office. Its just my favorite subject, even if it is a complicating one.
2 more weeks of school, then maybe a week off. What am I going to do ? I usually enjoy reading but since I do that all the time I'm not sure. maybe I'll ride over to Manhattan, walk around and eat a "dirty" water dog. (hot dog) lol.. and enjoy not having to worry about school work :).
Well, I guess I could go on chattering but like I said above: lots of work to get done... Til next week

Week 7

This semester is flying by... already week 7. I remember being told to enjoy my childhood because it flies by, seems to me thats just how it is with life.
Life is a funny thing, one day you feel blessed, thinking everything is going pretty smooth and the next something goes wrong and down hill from there. It says in the Bible " not to worry about tomorrow" is this possible? There are so many crazy things going on in this world, every time I watch the news my mouth drops. On a different topic, have you ever seen a double rainbow? The two that I saw were over my neighborhood and looked to be a quarter of a mile apart.  I thought it was so pretty.
As for this house,  things are getting organized slowly and its done nothing but rain for the past week and a half. My sons have atleast 2-3 hours of homework everyday so I'm trying to develop a new routine in the afternoons when it comes to cooking dinner and helpin them with their work and getting them ready for the next day. Well speaking of my boys they'll be home soon and I still have to call my advisor back to register for next term classes.

Week 6

How can I say that not much has changed in the past week , when I know full well that I've been so busy it all seems like a whirl-wind. I look around this new house of mine, knowing again that things have been put away in its place and yet still, there are many, many boxes to go through. I recently opened a small chest that was given to me by my father. I hadn't opened it before then. Want to know what I found, huh? Well it wasn't jewerly or gold, but it was priceless just the same, to me. It was some pictures of my grandmother that I only vaguely remember, and letters that had been written to parts of the family years before I was born. Wow, the handwriting was so antique looking and proper. I didn't realize til then that sometimes handwriting is something personal between you and the person reading your letter. You can tell personality, if their in a hurry or bored. My point is when it comes to email, the only way I can determine emotion is something put in all caps.
Well its 10:07 pm and I have to get my writing draft done and my human diseases paper also, all by tuesday!.. Wish me luck

Week 5

Tonight I am sitting here wondering if I'll ever get this house in order. Goodness, you just never know how much stuff you have until you move! This week for classes I have to study for my mid-term exam in Diseases and Conditions of the human body, finish discussions and do research for my final paper in my writing 2 class.
As usual I have been going non-stop since I got up this morning. Oh and while I was in town I bought 2 beautiful pots of mums. Its the perfect time of year up here to plant them, so why not. My favorite holiday is just around the corner too. Halloween!! I love to dress up with my boys. ( I also picked up a couple of pumpkins today to put outside)
well its 11:00pm and I'm stopping for the night...Til next week....

Week 4

I have been so busy the past 2 weeks I have no idea where to begin... Let me see.. I am just about done with moving. Wow you just never know how much you have until you start pulling things out, packing it, and unpacking it. My boys have started their new school with ease and made friends the first day of school. I actually made it to the open house and signed up for volunteering in my oldest sons science class. It is gonna be so fun! My boys seem to love it when their 'mama' is at the school :)
On top of all this I havent gotten behind in my school work, thank you GOD! Isnt it crazy, you just never know what tomorrow will bring. Makes me think of the movie Forest Gump.."Life is like a box of chocolates.. you never know what your gonna get". I always seem to do better though when Im too busy versus when Im not. I'm a busy body and prefer it. I recently got a droid to see if it helps on the go. The only problem Im having is I can open up and sign on my college page, it just wont let me open the actual class to like work on a discussion or something..any ideas? Until next week!

Week 3

Goodness if time isn't flying by. Already week 3 and I can't keep up. Besides my class assignments and getting comfortable with my chosen topic for my final paper. I'm in the process of moving. Not all that far about 20 or so minutes away, but all of the in between is challenging. I am withdrawing my sons from the school their are presently attending and registering them tomorrow in the school in our district. Its going to be the first time they have to wear uniforms..lol..I have heard many great things about this new school they will be attending. You know when it comes especially to your children, you want to know as much as possible. I'm excited about this new change, just hope I can stay on top of my game in my own classes.
Well  I've got to go, have an assignment in human diseases and conditions I have to get started on. Til next week :)

Second Post

Well what a week! This second week of classes seems pretty easy so far. There hasn't been anything major required of us and I admit that I thought writing 2 was going to be a challenge. Maybe my opinion will change in the weeks to follow as we have a new professor and havent had a live class with her yet.
On our disussion for the week we were supposed to come up with two topics, do three searches, modifying each search, using the college library. I didn't get many resources but will try the .org and .gov later.
I dont really have much more to " blog" about referring to the writing class. As for my other class Diseases of the Human Body- I have a paper due by tuesday...Yipee!

First post

Today was the first day back to college classes. I am taking my second writing class and we are required to learn how to set-up a blog account, posting weekly. I was told that we could type pretty much whatever comes to mind so I suppose this will take on the form of a journal. I hope what I learn from this is being able to freewrite and brainstorm over ideas. Writing does seem as technical as algebra at times. lol Tonights class was basically like all first day classes, a quick overview of the expectations and on with weekly topics. So heres my first blog.
I am interested at what this is going to look like at the end of 10 weeks ;)
